There once was a little girl who liked to go by Little Red Riding Hood. She had a real, ordinary name of course, but who likes to be ordinary? You might be thinking, well yeah, but still, who comes up with a name like that? She was given a red hood by the grandmother that she loves more than anything back when she was really little. She's never taken the thing off since. Well, not except when she has to, like during baths and stuff, but you get the point. So, you see, the name isn't really that weird. Little Red Riding Hood lived in the middle of the woods with only her mother. It was a quaint little place, but further into the wood things could get dangerous. Wolves and other creatures could be lurking anywhere. Kind of makes you wonder why they lived in the woods at all, doesn't it? Little Red Riding Hood was never supposed to travel the woods alone. That was why her brave, more experienced grandmother always came to vistit them instead of the other way around. But one day her grandmother was sick. Little Red's mother decided that today was the day to let Little Red face the dangers of the world. We all must face the world at some point. Besides, her mother had very important chores to do like picking wildflowers. So, Little Red Riding Hood took off for the first time alone through the [[woods->staying the path]].Her mother hadn't sent her out without guidence at least. She had three main rules she must follow: ''stay on the path, don't stop along the way, and don't talk to strangers''. These seemed easy enough, so Little Red felt confident in herself as she clapsed the basket of goodies in her hand and set upon her way. The wood was beautiful, so much more beautiful than what was held just around her home. Wild flowers smiled her way from every angle. But the flowers, each and every one, was just beyond the edge of the path. Surely, a few steps off wouldn't be of any harm. [[Stay on path]] [[Pick flowers->straying the path]]Assured that there could be no harm, she strayed the path. One flower led to another until she lost count of how long she had been at the chore. Her mother had mentioned her hurrying so as to make it there before nightfall, but wouldn't her grandmother's happiness from receiving such beautiful flowers be worth the delay? Proud of her little bundle of vegetation, Little Red turned around only to discover that she had lost the path at some point. For the first time since setting out she felt anxiety. What if she coudldn't find her way? What if she starved to death? At least she had these goodies. This thought immediately made her hungry, so she nibbled at a chocolate chip cookie. This stilled her nerves a bit. There was nothing else to do but walk. [[Head left]] [[Head right]]The path was a fairly straight shot, and she reached her grandmother's house sooner than she thought she would. The sun was still up and shininging and everything. Her grandmother welcomed her with a gigantic smile which Little Red returned ten-fold. Not only was she happy to see her grandmother, but she was proud in having proved herself capable of her first grown-up adventure. Brimming with self-confidence, she began to dibble at a chocolate chip cookie before passing the basket filled with remaining goodies over to her grandmother.Straight looked like a good direction, so she took off that way. Somehow she had chosen right, because she reached her grandmother's house sooner than she thought she would. The sun was just setting too. Phew, that was a relieve. Her grandmother welcomed her with a gigantic smile which Little Red returned ten-fold. Not only was she happy to see her grandmother, but she was proud in having successfully solved her first grown-up promblem. Brimming with self-pride, she began to dibble at a chocolate chip cookie before passing the basket filled with remaining goodies over to her grandmother.Right looked just as good a direction as any, so she took off that way. Soon she noticed that nothing looked familiar at all. She had walked to Grandmother's a few times long ago after all. Anxiety stirred in her again. "Are you lost little girl?" a deep male voice called. Little Red jolted in surprise. She didn't think that she would run into anyone else out here. "Uh, actually, yes." "Would are you headed?" "To my grandmother's house. She is sick, you see." THEY TALK SOME MORE END UP AT [[HOUSE]]Little Red entered the house with a sigh of relief. The sun had long fallen, and she had grown frightened. Seeing her grandmother laying on the bed was a much-needed reassurance that she was safe and sound. "Grandmother, I have brought you some goodies." "Oh, isn't that nice dear." Little Red stepped hesitantly closer. "Are you alright, Grandmother? You sound different." "Sickness does that, my dear." Little Red laughed. Of course. "I guess I'm still just on edge. Here you are." She handed th basket over, and caught a glimps of her grandmother's face. It was brown and furry. That was unusual. "Grandmother, your face looks different than usual." "Sickness does that, my dear." "Haha, of course. Eat. It will make you feel better." "These do look lovely. But you know what I would like better? To eat you!" With that the wolf who had been impersonating the grandmother gobbled up the naive little girl.
